Brexit is the portmanteau of “British exit”. The United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union is widely known as Brexit. 52% people voted in favor of leaving Europe during the referendum held on June 23, 2016.

Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old security guard, caused one of the most terrifying mass shooting in the history of America. Around 49 people were killed and 53 were wounded.

The elections of United States of America are obviously big news, but this time it was heavily covered for more than one reason.

5. Demonetisation of Currency
On November 8, 2016, it was announced that the currencies of 500 and 1000 won’t be valid anymore. The decision was made to tackle the problem and corruption and black money. It was also believed that the decision will encourage the country to become cashless.
The decision was met with heavy criticism. Though the common man supported it, but the lack of preparation to handle the aftermath of the decision caused a great suffering.
